Sorry!!!

So sorry I haven't updated this in so long!!! Those who know me will know I should have been moving in December but the house sale fell through. After dragging myself out of a fit of depression about it all I have been busy with the whole Christmas thing and as I was relying on the money for the house sale to pay for Christmas it has meant that I had to make a lot of gifts very fast!!! I promise to post some new samples on here in the next week to 10 days. Meanwhile I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year!!! Hope it is a happy and healthy one for everyone! x

I Love Christmas!!!

I have to say that no matter what, I love Christmas so making Christmas cards is great fun for me. I didn't actually send any last year because I ran out of time so am rushing to get them done this year. Here are my most recent cards.

I haven't made a diamond fold card for ages so had to re learn it but I wanted to showcase these gorgeous papers. For the first card I've used Designer Paper 'Elegant Soiree'. I love this so much I wanted to use it for Christmas even though it's not Christmas paper. I love the new 'Soft Suede' colour too which I've used for matting and layering. I've used Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze inks for stamping. I've also used a rhinestone on the greeting and tiny, tiny pearls on the deer antlers. Stamps are from the 'Winter Post' set.

For the second card I've used Designer Paper 'Jolly Holiday' and Crumb Cake card and Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla also. Again, the stamps are from the 'Winter Post' set. Of course I've used my trusty Scallop Punch to make the embellishments.

I copied this type of card from the lovely Bekka. It's very quick and easy and uses very little paper, ribbon etc. I've used the Elegant Soiree papers again with Soft Suede and Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla card and inks plus Very Vanilla ribbon and Chocolate Chip ribbon.Stamps are the lovely and ever popular 'Dasher' and more stamps from the 'Winter Post' set. The 'Joy at Christmas' greeting is from a set called 'Perfect Punches' it has greetings for all year round and they all coordinate with punches from the range so you can make a beautiful greeting embellishment like this one in seconds.

So with Christmas card making in mind I thought you might like the new special offer from Stampin' Up!. Google 'Stampin' Up! UK' to see the fab offer of gorgeous free ribbon worth £10.25 a reel free with every Christmas bundle you order, plus there are papers in some of the bundles that are not available in the catalogue and they are yummy!!! The choice of bundles is fab too. Enjoy looking and get in touch if you'd like to order and take advantage whilst the offer lasts.

Have a good evening everyone!

Workshop photos.

Thought you guys might like to see what we did at the recent Stampin' Up! workshop.

I used textured card to stamp on for one of the cards as it gave a distressed/aged look that I liked . Maybe because I'm a bit distressed and aged myself!

This is the one we did at the workshop stamped on smooth Very Vanilla. I'm loving the spotty paper.

Here is a different colourway and you can see the effect of stamping on textured card. I like it but maybe it's not everyone's cup of tea. I love playing with my crafty stuff and trying out different looks/techniques. Let me know what you think. I like to hear everyone's views and ideas.

That's all for today folks!!! Have a great weekend!

Photos of recent Stampin' Up stuff

So my computer man Steve managed to sort out a way to upload my photos from the camera. I'm really thrilled because I have never put my work anywhere for people to view it before. Hope you like it!

This is the little box we made in my recent workshop. Can't resist the ribbon but we used Real Red satin ribbon as this is retired now. The card is made with the new Delightful Decorations stamp set. I'm loving this set!
